1. NZSTA Regional Coordinator

NZSTA has a vacancy for a Regional Coordinator for our Auckland and Northland Regions.

The New Zealand School Trustees Association (NZSTA) is a membership organisation of approximately 2,400 school boards of trustees comprising around 14,500 individual trustees. We are the national organisation representing school boards of trustees.

We:

·          promote excellence in school governance in New Zealand
·          provide national/local representation and advocacy on a wide range of matters of importance to boards
·          deliver comprehensive support services to assist boards in theirtrusteeship/employer role
·           promote and facilitate ongoing professional development for trustees through education and training
 
Coordinators of Regional Administration Hubs

·          provide administrative support and assistance to designated NZSTA regions/regional executive(s)
·          provide administrative and other support to the NZSTA structures
·          coordinate administration for the delivery of professional development to boards of trustees
·           promote the common interests of NZSTA when dealing with external agencies and organisations locally.
 
To do this we are looking for someone who has:
 
·         a high level of written and oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
·         relevant administrative/financial qualifications/experience
·         the ability to manage time, to withstand pressure and to prioritise to meet deadlines (e.g. reporting requirements)
·         the ability to undertake on occasions evening/weekend work and travel where necessary
 
It would also help if you have an understanding of trusteeship, and school governance.
