The Ministry of Education and NZEI Te Riu Roa have been working together investigating the multiple pay equity claims, which were raised by the Union in November 2020. The Science Technicians Pay Equity Claim is one of many that are being investigated concurrently with other claims.

Please note that all employers are legally obligated to inform the employees concerned about the pay equity claim process, and provide the relevant information. Employees are also given the option to opt-out of the process should they choose to do so.
