Boards of trustees can access advisers on the NZSTA Helpdesk for all matters relating to trusteeship. The Helpdesk is staffed five days a week 8:00am to 5:00pm. This toll free helpline is recognised by boards as the source of sound advice on trusteeship issues. If a board has a query relating to their role as an employer, boards should contact their local adviser: personnel/industrial relations. Trusteeship Issues: The advisers on the NZSTA helpdesk pride themselves on being able to respond to any question that may be asked. Over the years since NZSTA started, the Trusteeship helpdesk has built up a very good reference library starting with a shelf full of legislation. The library also includes a host of publications from the Ministry and many other sources. The Helpdesk is staffed by very knowledgeable advisers on trusteeship. They offer their best advice which is based on experience in investigating and answering similar questions and talking to a wide cross-section of trustees from throughout the country.
