NZSTA Trustee Accreditation Process
NZSTA is proud to launch the NZSTA Trustee Accreditation Process.
NZSTA wants to offer trustees of member boards the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to strengthening school governance by becoming a NZSTA Accredited Trustee.
The aim of the NZSTA Trustee Accreditation Process: to support and strengthen school governance in New Zealand State and State Integrated Schools is in accordance with NZSTA’s strategic training statement:
“To up- skill boards for effective governance outcomes.”
You may want to gain accreditation to:
· show your community that you have the required skills to be an effective trustee at election time
· be listed on the NZSTA database of trustees available to be co-opted or selected
· demonstrate your ability as a trustee to the MOE, and as a potential resource in providing assistance to other
boards, e.g. as a mentor, commissioner or LSM for another board.
· provide evidence of your experience as a trustee to use towards further directorships.
A database of accredited trustees will be maintained in the members’ area of the NZSTA website.
