As part of the Teacher Aide Pay Equity Claim process, the project team has produced a document on the general areas of responsibility, based on 261 interviews with teacher aides, their supervisors and principals.
Feedback from principals and employers is requested to check whether there are any significant gaps. This is to ensure that the broad range of work carried out by teacher aides is captured and represented in the work to assess the Teacher Aide Pay Equity Claim. You are welcome to delegate this task to someone who works directly with teacher aides in your school, for example, a SENCO or Deputy Principal.
Please complete the general areas of responsibility feedback form and return as an attachment via email to School.PayEquity@education.govt.nz by 24 September 2018.
